Introduction

In Short;
I was diagnosed with Advanced Breast Cancer in May 2007 and was told it was a well behaved cancer that was hormone recpetive and had no lymph node evidence.  I had 8 rounds of Chemo, A Bilateral Mastectomy with immediate reconstruction followed by Radiotherapy and put on Hormone Treatment that was to be for 5 yrs.  During the mastectomy, it was revealed that 9/16 nodes were postive and that I was also HER2 positive and so I was put on herceptin for a year... I thought I had beat it.

In April 2009 I was diagnosed with secondries to my hip and spine, After just 4 months I had emergency surgery to my spine and in Nov 2009 a small nodule was found in my liver along with a lump on my neck. After 6 more IV chemo treatments my liver and neck nodes were clear and there was a vast reduction in my spine... All was well until Dec 2010... the ugly squatters were again squatting and multiplying in my liver. I was put onto Capcitabine chemo tablet along with Lapatineb for my Her2 status.  After 11 months of trying to tollerate the severe side effects, I made the choice to stop the Capecitabine, I needed quality of life.  In Dec 2011 as expected my Scan showed progression and so treatment changed to another chemo tablet called Vinorelbine....
